Designed for vertical jigging, this rod provides a little more power for slightly heavier jigs and heavier line. The guides are downsized because casting is not required, but it will cast just fine if necessary. It's basically a 10-pound line rod, but will handle 8-pound, no problem. The extra inch we added in the blank gives you a little better control around your motor and provides a little more power for bigger walleyes... a problem we hope you have more often now. GLX makes it unbelievably light and super sensitive!
