Glen's Firearm Transfer Policy | Grand Rapids, MN - Revised 5/24/2024

Glen's does accept transfers and receive firearms daily.  Firearms are usually available to pick-up within 24-48 hours after they arrive at the store.  Please DO NOT come in to the store and be upset because your firearm has arrived but it's not immediately ready to be taken home.  We all get excited about a new gun, but the ATF has requirements on how we receive firearms and log them, and with the number of firearms we have coming and going it takes time to process them all in the order they arrived.

The transferee(buyer) must be 21 years old with a valid State Issued Drivers License or ID Card and a MN State Permit to Acquire or Carry for any pistol or revolver.  The firearm must be transferred to the name on the invoice or packing slip as the "Ship to".  Note the State ID must have your CURRENT physical address on it.  We will not bend the rules on this as no single transfer is worth risking our FFL.

The transferee(buyer) must be 18 years old with a valid State Issued Drivers License or ID Card for any rifle or shotgun.  In some cases, such as an AR15 or clone a MN State Permit to Acquire or Carry is required.  The firearm must be transferred to the name on the invoice or packing slip as the "Ship to".  Please note the State ID must have your CURRENT physical address on it.  We will not bend the rules on this as no single transfer is worth risking our FFL.

Our normal transfer fee is $20.  However, we do charge an additional Stock Fee of $20 if the firearm is available to be purchased in store or is available for us to have in-stock within 14 days as a special order.  This policy is to protect us from dealers with no overhead/home dealers) or who drop-ship firearms that they don't physically own. 

Glen's will charge a transfer fee per firearm unless they arrive on the same shipment and are transferred on the same 4473.

We generally do not release our Federal Firearms License(FFL) to the general public.  To obtain a copy please email, or have the seller email, [email protected] with the information regarding the incoming firearm, the buyer, and a copy of the sellers FFL and we will email a copy to the dealer transfering the firearm to us.

Glen's will, to the best of our ability, price match other dealers.  We work hard to offer low retails, but as with everything there are always deals to be found on particular firearms.  In order to price match the firearm must be in-stock at the dealer with the lower price, the dealer must have a physical store front, and have the price forward facing(ie visible to everyone).  Certain dealers will not be accepted as they are known to drop-ship firearms and don't physically stock the item.  We will also not match any price that is below our current wholesale, but in those cases we will only charge our $20 transfer fee.
