I bought these for work and I walk/stand all day. The shoe is constructed well and the alloy safety toe is definitely lighter than steel. The only complaints I have are that the inside collar of the shoe comes up higher than a regular sneaker and rubs against the front of my ankles and that the cushioning is mediocre considering it's supposed to have the "advanced comfort" system, whatever that is. I've been wearing them for 2 weeks now. The rubbing has decreased, I'm guessing from breaking them in, but I still have to wear thick socks that go above the ankle to minimize the rubbing. The soles are Vibram and have good traction, but don't have any special cushioning as far as I can tell so it feels a bit hard/stiff under the heels. The box even says it has the advanced comfort system, but I can't find any info anywhere on what exactly that means. I'll give it another week, but may be returning them. Thank goodness Timberland has a 30 day comfort guarantee.
