Just set the transducer end on the ice, and the LCD display will show depths up to 299 feet in 1/10th-ft. increments. 2,500 watts of output power shoots right through the surface of the ice, so you can scan areas without the need to drill any holes. 12 degree cone angle. I used my new LX-i all winter, maybe 45 times out fishing and just love it. As important as my auger, or my sled. A godsend to the art of ice fishing.
