This thing works great! No more oil/gas. Drills a hole in seconds. I have 25 holes drilled and my battery still indicates a full charge. Nice and light. If I get 25 years out of it like My jiffy I'll be even happier.

Best auger I ever owned. As fast or faster then my old Nils master. No gas or oil to mess with. Super quiet. Would highly recommend this auger. Great experience with Glens had auger 2 days after ordering.

This auger tears through ice like it is nobody's business. I drilled over 20 holes in 30"+ of ice before I had to recharge. I was very skeptical at first, but WOW---it has made ice fishing perfect for the fisherman who likes to be on the move!

At first I thought this was a really nice piece but after having it out on the ice a few times I don't like it at all. I live on a small lake in upstate ny and after receiving the ion I charged it and brought it out immediately. It made 40 holes with ease through 10" of ice and I was loving it. That weekend I brought it out for a local walleye challenge with a few friends and it did 26 holes through 14-16" of ice before quitting on me. Today I'm at another comp on my lake and it did 8 holes through 20" of ice and now its dead. I give it a full charge after each use and keep the battery warm and it still just sucks. Hopefully Glens has a good return policy cause I'm totally dissatisfied with this top dollar auger. Save your time and money, be a normal human and get a gas powered with a 10" cut.

First let ne say i was sceptical about a battery operated ice auger. First day using the Ion drilled 36 holes through 13 inches of ice and only lost one light on the battery witch has 3a indicator lights. Cuts smoother then any auger i have not ever had or used and the wieght is so light and starting by just pulling the trigger makes moving around the lakes easy as pie no fighti g with a heavy non starting auger. The only thing i would like is for a 10 inch hole. But i would strongly recommend this auger to anyone looking for a ice augrr
