And with it's sturdy and stable shockcorded aluminum frame the Mountain Pass is sure to become one of the most reliable and versatile tents in the woods. It has 2 doors and 2 vestibules, each with a clear see through window for storing gear without cluttering the tent. It has 2 large vents in the roof as well as multiple fly vents to keep comfort at a maximum and condensation to a minimum. The shockcorded freestanding aluminum frame is durable and very easy to set up or take down.

First Camping Trip with Mountain Pass 2XTE April 14, 2012

I went on my first camping trip with my new Eureka Mountain Pass 2XTE tent over Easter weekend. I purchased this tent primarily for motorcycle camping solo and with my son. This tent lives up to all of the positive reviews I have read so far. Well constructed, high quality materials, roomy with nice inside height, great double vestibules, etc.

My only observations that need consideration:

1. Bring a heavy weight ground cloth. I had to pitch the tent on a gravel/dirt pad.

2. Bring steel tent stakes. The aluminum stakes, although nice and light, were easily bent.

Overall this is a very nice tent and Glen's had the best price. Their customer service is second-to-none.

Stood up to 30-40mph winds very well. It is a little more fidgety to set up than what I like but all in all it is an excellent tent.
