The Vandal GTX multi-purpose work boot is made with an athletic styling for those who prefer a cross functional boot they can easily take from work to hunting and beyond. The full-grain leather upper and waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX liner protect against the elements. A dual-density polyurethane midsole adds comfort and support, and a protective rand provides abrasion resistance and increases durability. The deeply padded collar, Achilles heel pad and Fatigue Fighter footbed allow for all-day wear in comfort. The alloy safety toe meets or exceeds ASTM standard F2413-05 I/75 C/75 EH. The co-branded Danner Vibram outsole is oil and slip resistant, and Danner’s TERRA FORCE platform is extremely rigid and stable while providing comfort and support.

comfortable right out of the box, I was worried that the alloy toe might be cold as I work outdoors in the PNW. but so far they have been very warm in about 25 degree weather, I have read lots of bad reveiws about the waterproofing , so far mine have not leaked

Despite being Danners, the boots are made in China.  If that is the worst I can say, then good.   They are fairly comfortable and have kept my feet dry thus far (and i've stepped in some ankle deep water).  They do run a little narrower than most other boots i've tried.  Overall a decent boot.
