USA-made quality

The boots are well-made and so far seem durable. Living in the country but working in an office, these boots give me a happy medium with good looks and great tread. It was very difficult to find something made in the USA, but these seem to be worth the effort. Glen's customer service was the real shining star in my story, however as my boots were lost in shipment. Michelle and Tia in Glen's Customer Service department were very helpful to get the shipper claim pushed through and ship out a replacement pair.

Great Price - Solid Boot

I replaced a pair of similar Danner boots I bought almost 25 years ago. I would have had the old boots restored, but I made the mistake of wearing them when I did some roofing and shredded some of the leather at the top of the boots. The new pair appears slightly less robust than my old ones, but not markedly so, plus they now have a Gortex liner. These are solid boots that are sturdy enough for serious hiking -- my old pair summitted most of the Adirondack high peaks and did the Northfield-Placid Trail end-to-end. They heavy compared with some, but they last and you need the support for a 60 lb pack. Great price from Glen's, shipped quickly from the factory.

my last pair of hiking boots

Because of the sewn welt I will be able to have these resold. I find the toe box a little narrow but they are brand new and the largest size they make. Otherwose they are exactly what I hoped for.
