Extreme conditions call for a coat as ruggedly built as the Extremes coat. Water repellent, it's made of 1000-denier Cordura nylon with a nylon lining quilted to arctic-weight polyester insulation. The corduroy collar features under-collar snaps for an optional hood. There are two chest pockets, two lower front pockets, and two inside pockets. The split back with bi-swing design and pleated elbows allow for easier movement on the job.

Arctic coat January 30, 2013

This is my second coat of this model. I have used my first one hard for the past ten years. It is a great outdoor work coat. I expect that this one will serve me just as well. The only reason that I am not giving it 5 stars is because it is now made in Mexico. I guess that it is my fault assuming that all Carhartt wear is union made in the states. If I would have know that I would have bought something else.

You cannot beat the Carhartt Coats. They are the best money can buy. My firt Extremes Coat lasted 10 winters !!

I've used carhart for many years, first time I get a nylon shell, hope it last longer than the cotton shell . so far so good, feels a little bit stiff , warm & dry, great for work.

Very warm and comfy. I'm very happy with the coat and the price. It also arrived in 2 days from MN to NY. I was very happy about the fast shipping because I really needed this coat for work. All around positive experience. I would definitely buy from Glen's Outdoors again.

The item I ordered was the item that came, and the item was exactly as described.  It seems to be high quality material used and Glen's was very prompt in shipping it.  I did not give it to my husband yet because it is a Christmas gift, but I am sure he will love it....not sure on how the fit is because he hasn't received it yet, but all of his coats are a 2XXL, so I am confident it will be just fine.
